Pine Forest Spring Show 2016

Our 40th Annual Pine Forest Spring Show and Sale on April 23rd and 24th, 2016 was a rousing success!  Over 1,300 people attended the 2-day event. The anniversary show offered so much for our attendees, including beautiful antique furniture, jewelry, quilts, dishes, and glassware. The garden area featured birdhouses, succulents, and gorgeous garden flowers while our home décor dealers offered a beautiful selection of indoor and outdoor décor for everyone’s home.

The Bakery, relocated to a new area just outside the school kitchens, looked absolutely fabulous this year. The bake sale featured cakes, pies, dog biscuits breads, biscotti, as well as a gluten-free table loaded with goodies. The hand-painted glass plates and containers added just the right touch to the high quality fare available for purchase.  Next to The Bakery, club members sold oils and vinegars as a club fundraiser. The club’s anniversary quilt raffle was also a success, with many attendees purchasing tickets for a chance to win.

On Saturday afternoon, the Tri Lakes Chamber of Commerce and District 38 leaders participated with past TLWC presidents in a ribbon cutting celebration honoring the 40th year of the event. The current club presidents cut the anniversary cakes, and pieces of those cakes were passed out to club members, vendors and show attendees. Just down the hall, an anniversary display outlined what the club stood for and all that has been given back to the community over the years.

The three food trucks serving lunch this year did a wonderful job supplying attendees and workers with just the right fare. The plentiful tacos, pulled pork, soups, salads and sandwiches were consumed with gusto. Vendors also enjoyed their traditional cinnamon rolls and coffee each morning before the show opened its doors.

Members of the Tri-Lake Women’s Club volunteer thousands of hours each year to ensure the success of the show. We appreciate the local businesses that generously donate goods and services for the event. All profits from The Spring Show and Sale are granted to our local non-profit service organizations and public schools. As chairwomen of the 2016 show, we are proud to be part of the effort to give back to our local community.
