The mission of Tri-Lakes Women’s Club is to support the Tri-Lakes community through charitable and educational endeavors. TLWC raises and distributes funds to assist qualified organizations and promotes the education of its members and the community through instructional programs.

The Tri-Lakes Women’s Club meets monthly from September through May. Most meetings are luncheons held on the third Friday of the month and combine a business meeting with a program of general interest. The location of the meetings varies throughout the year. As luncheons are by reservation only, members are notified by email or telephone of the upcoming event.

Luncheon Reservations
Making a Reservation: Contact reservations@tlwc.net or phone Billie Healy, the Reservations Chair, at 278-8393 by the monthly reservation deadline.

Standing Reservations: Can be made for the year 2007-2008 by contacting the Reservations Chair, Billie Healy at 278-8393.

Canceling a Reservation: Cancel by the reservation deadline. Members must pay treasurers for reservations not canceled by the deadline.

Guests/Dietary Needs: Let the Reservations Chair, Billie Healy, 278-8393, know if you want to bring a guest to the luncheon or if you have any Dietary concerns.

Snow Day:  If there is a District 38 school closure, the luncheon will be cancelled. School closures are announced on local radio and TV stations. The TLWC website will also have cancellation information. If you are unsure, call the Reservations Chair or any other board member.

2007-2008 Interest Group Sign-Up Sheet (WORD Format - PDF Format)

Arts & Crafts 3rd Wednesday 1:30 p.m. (Guidelines - WORD Format - PDF Format)
Projects vary each month and any TLWC member is encouraged to volunteer to demonstrate an art or craft she knows and loves! The group is open to members who sign up for Arts and Crafts and also, depending on group sign-ups, to all TLWC members. There is no obligation to host or demonstrate a craft. Projects will be demonstrated by individuals from the community, on occasion, in addition to TLWC members. Costs per project will vary and will be posted in the newsletter and on the website calendar. The classes usually last 3 - 4 hours.

Book Discussion 1st Monday 1:00 p.m.. (Guidelines - WORD Format - PDF Format)
Leadership and hosting of the group meetings is rotated among members. Books are selected by the general consensus of the group.

All Bridge Groups Guidelines (WORD Format - PDF Format)
Regular players have first option to play, and if you agreed to play and must cancel, you are responsible for finding a substitute. Please call hostess at least one week in advance.

Couples Bridge 1st Saturday 6:00 p.m.
This group provides a friendly, learning environment for ALL LEVELS of players. We hope to provide an evening out to nurture the concept of a caring, sharing community, and to allow each person to go home with a better understanding of a game that has many facets.

Women’s Bridge 1st Wednesday 9:00 a.m.
Open to all skill levels and experiences.

Women’s Bridge 2nd Tuesday 9:00 a.m.
This is a friendly group of women who enjoy playing and have various skill levels and experiences. Please donate $1 for copying and mailing.

Bunco 2nd Monday or Tuesday 6:30 p.m. (Guidelines - WORD Format - PDF Format)
This is an exciting, fun-filled dice game. It is very easy to learn and play. Come have a fun girls night out. Each member is asked to host once a calendar year or as needed.

Colorado Living Lunch 4th Wednesday 11:30 a.m. (Guidelines - WORD Format - PDF Format)
This group explores the latest trends in cooking by preparing NEW recipes from current magazines or the internet that she has never made before. The food is brought to a monthly potluck and shared. Afterward we critique each dish we make. Not only do we have good food but we also have a fun time and get to try recipes that we might not ordinarily attempt. This is an opportunity to meet new friends and to get new cooking ideas.

Fun and Games 3rd Saturday 6:30 p.m. (Guidelines - WORD Format - PDF Format)
The fun includes but is not limited to card and board games. We play games like Phase Ten, Mexican Train, Scrabble, Cranium, etc. We have a few snacks before we play and the hostess serves dessert. Each member is asked to host at least once a year.

Gourmet Dinners 2nd Saturday 6:00 p.m. (Guidelines - WORD Format - PDF Format)
The goal of this group is to enjoy great food and wine and meet new friends. Best of all, we get to try new recipes we would not otherwise attempt. Dinners are held in member’s homes, usually for 4 or 5 couples. Members are expected to host at least once a year.

Recreational Hiking Thursdays 9:00 a.m. (Guidelines - WORD Format - PDF Format)
Enjoy our beautiful Colorado scenery while getting a good workout. Date and time may vary. New members will be contacted about their first hike with the group. We have lovely wildflower hikes in the summer and enjoy the aspens and fall colors in the fall. We travel all over the area to hike and enjoy what Colorado offers during the various seasons. You will gain a great appreciation for nature while getting to know other hikers with similar interests.

Knotty Pines Tuesdays 1:00 p.m.
The Knotty Pines is a group of members who enjoy singing and performing on occasion.  Rehearsals are on Tuesdays at 1 p.m. at the Church at Woodmoor.  A fee will be charged to help pay for music and supplies. Each person will provide her own 3-ring binder and purchase a special scarf worn at performances.

Mahjongg Daytime (Guidelines - WORD Format - PDF Format)
This ancient game is played with tiles and offers a mix of ritual (time for chatting) and concentration. It is played by rules set by either the Wright-Patterson Officers Wives Club or the National Mah Jongg League. Training is available.

Wright-Day 1st and 3rd Wednesday 9:00 a.m. or 1 p.m.
This group uses the Wright-Patterson rules. The hostess sets the time. See the calendar for details.

National-Day 2nd Monday 10:00 a.m.
This group uses the National Mah Jongg Card. New cards are issued each April and contain all new hands. See the calendar for hostess and location details.

Over the Cup TBA TBA (Guidelines - WORD Format - PDF Format)
Tea can be an inspiration, an instrument that requests one to sit, relax and take a few moments to be good to one’s self. Join this group to share and create special memories, and lasting friendships over tea, while touring tea rooms, having theme teas in members homes, and above all, having fun! You will have a “tealightful” time over the cup.

TGIF Monthly/As announced
For couple and singles, we meet once a month in the early evening.  Prior to each event an e-mail is sent to interest group members with pertinent information, such as: hostess name, location, time and date.  Those interested RSVP to the hostess directly by e-mail or phone as to how many are coming and whether they are bringing an appetizer or dessert.  There is a fee of $7.50 per person or $15.00 per couple to be paid at the door.  This covers the hostess' expenses.  If you make a reservation and do NOT show, you must still pay the fee.  POC:  Kay Boyle: 481-0159  (juzbcas@aol.com)

Wine Tasting As announced, about every 6 weeks (Guidelines - WORD Format - PDF Format)
This group is open to all members and their significant others. The event typically takes place at a member’s home where we taste, critique, and discuss different wines in a casual setting. Members take turns planning and hosting these events.

Tour Group As announced, about every 6-8 weeks (Guidelines - WORD Format - PDF Format)
The purpose of the Tour Group is to explore vistas in and around us in Colorado which we might have missed before! This will not be a regular date group, but we will endeavor to have an event every 6-8 weeks at most, depending upon the schedules of your traveling tour group hosts!! We will have arranged (bus mostly) transportation, which will raise the price, but lower the blood pressure. We will endeavor to have lovely meals (no $10 lunches).

SKI Buddies (Guidelines - WORD Format - PDF Format)
One to two day trips each month during ski season, on varying week days. Beat the weekend crowds and ski with friends on week days! Group members will meet at the Monument Park and Ride to carpool up to Breckenridge, Keystone, Arapaho Basin, and Vail (areas covered by the Colorado Ski Pass) for a day’s skiing. TWLC members and their significant others replying to POC e-mails will carpool together, providing their own skis and tickets and sharing travel expenses. Let it snow!


NOTE: Each interest group sets its own guidelines for communications and meeting procedures. Many of the larger groups are unable to make individual contact, so please do not wait for an invitation! Please check the calendar and contact the hostess of an event you would like to attend!
