COMMITTEE NEEDS

Public Relations

3-4 people

  • Post on social media
  • Write and send press releases.
  •  Send calendar items to local media.
  •  Develop and maintain community connections (Kiwanis, Chamber of Commerce, Tri-Lakes Cares)
  •  Attend/promote TLWC at events (in coordination with Membership, HHT, etc)

Membership Luncheons

3-4 people

  • Help plan and coordinate monthly membership luncheon meetings to include finding speakers, pouring wine and purchasing monthly door prizes and table decorations.

  • Participate in quarterly Meet and Greets
  • Hand out and collect name tags at monthly luncheon meetings
  • Take photos of members who do not have one on their profile

Fun Club Activities

Working Homeless Bag Lunches

Each month, volunteers pack 40 - 50 lunches that include a sandwich, chips, fruit, drink and sweet treat.  We then deliver them to the mission to be given to those who are heading out to work.  For more information on how you can help, contact leader Maureen Morgan or Pam Cutcliff.

Silver Key Senior Summit, Morning - Afternoon

Great Wolf Lodge, 9494 Federal Dr, Colorado Springs 80921

This is a fun event is the largest Colorado Springs senior expo and brings together 80+ vendors and exhibitors.  It also serves as a fundraiser for Silver Key.  Volunteers are needed to serve as greeters, help at check-in tables and assist with miscellaneous tasks.  An event t-shirt and box lunch will be provided for all volunteers.  An optional Information/training session will be held on May 15th.

Build-A-Bed

Sleep in Heavenly Peace, a wonderful nonprofit that believes all children deserve a safe, comfortable place to lay their heads, and is helping ensure that NO KID SLEEPS ON THE FLOOR IN OUR TOWN!®  assembling and delivering top-notch beds, complete with bedding,  to children and families in need.   As a volunteer you will help assemble the beds from start to finish.  No experience needed.
